Belarus to host International Physics Olympiad in 2021

MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) – Belarus will host the International Physics Olympiad in 2021. The Belarusian prime minister signed regulation No.112p to set up the organizing committee for the event on 25 April, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian Council of Ministers.

The organizing committee shall work out and adopt a plan of action to prepare and hold the International Physics Olympiad. If necessary, the committee shall engage, in the prescribed manner, the government bodies and other state organizations subordinated to the Belarus government, regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee, in the work to organize the event.

Belarus Deputy Prime Minister Vasily Zharko has been appointed Chairman of the Organizing Committee. The committee also includes the officials from the Belarusian Education Ministry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Culture Ministry, the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, the Interior Ministry, the Justice Ministry, the Information Ministry, the Finance Ministry, the Emergencies Ministry, the Healthcare Ministry, the Ministry of Communications and Informatization, the Minsk City Executive Committee and the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
