Belarus to host Belarusian-Chinese Media Forum in 2020

MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – Belarus will host the first Belarusian-Chinese Media Forum in 2020. The agreement was reached during a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Kirill Rudy and deputy head of the State Administration of Radio and Television of the People's Republic of China Fan Weiping, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.

The parties talked about ways to bolster ties between mass media outlets, to deepen direct interaction between the TV channels of the two countries. “The parties agreed to explore the issues of organizing a press tour of Belarusian journalists to China this year and holding the first Belarusian-Chinese Media Forum in Belarus in 2020,” the embassy said.

Kirill Rudy suggested that one of the Chinese TV and radio companies open a correspondent office in Belarus.
