Belarus to help UAE train forensic experts

MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – Abu Dhabi Police specialists will receive training at the Belarusian State Forensic Examination Committee, its Chairman Andrei Shved told an online conference hosted by BelTA on 13 April.

“The UAE has an interest in sending Abu Dhabi Police specialists to receive training in Belarus. In May, a group of our experts will travel to Abu Dhabi to discuss the practical aspects of the full-fledged training of our Arab colleagues in Belarus: the number of groups, the list of courses, and so on. I think we will organize such courses this year,” Andrei Shved said.

The Arab partners have visited the State Forensic Examination Committee three times and praised its work, the highly-equipped forensic units, and the system of training and retraining. Abu Dhabi Police representatives showed a keen interest in such fields of forensic science as odorology, traceology, fire investigation, forensic investigation of documents and handwriting, analysis of cold weapons.

Moreover, the UAE law enforcement professionals intend to set up units following the example of the State Forensic Examination Committee. “We are ready to provide all-round support in this regard,” Andrei Shved underlined.
