Belarus taking part in construction of cultural center on Russky Island

VLADIVOSTOK, 13 April (BelTA) - Belarusian builders are taking part in the construction of a cultural and educational center on Russky Island, Governor of Russia's Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako said as he met with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Vladivostok on 13 April, BelTA has learned.

“Belarusian specialists and builders are involved in the construction of a cultural center. A choreography school, a music school, a kindergarten and a boarding school are in the process of construction. Belarusian specialists have proven themselves as highly qualified experts. I think we will expand this area, as well as the cultural exchange between our countries,” said Oleg Kozhemyako.

Vladivostok is one of four Russian cities that have been developing cultural, educational, museum and theater complexes following the order of the Russian president. A hostel for students who will study music and ballet on Russky Island, as well as residential buildings for the employees and specialists of the complex are under construction. Future plans include works on the city's museum and theater complex.

In March 2021 during the meeting with the Belarusian president in Minsk Oleg Kozhemyako invited Belarusian specialists to take part in the project.
