Belarus studying needs of refugee children in educational services

GRODNO, 14 December (BelTA) - Specialists will visit the refugee shelter in the transport and logistics center on 14 December to study the needs of refugee children in educational services, BelTA has learned.

14 December is the 37th day for refugees at the border. They are living in the accommodation facility organized in the Bruzgi transport and logistics center. There are many children among refugees. Today, specialists, including experienced psychologists from Grodno trained to help children in a crisis situation and UNICEF representatives will visit them to study the needs of children in educational services.

"We want to keep kids busy. Another goal is to identify children in need of psychological help. Taking into account their situation, children may feel anxiety," said Irina Kazhuro, director of the Grodno Regional Social and Pedagogical Center.

Experts invited children and their parents to fill out a questionnaire. Based on the results of the survey, specialists will make decisions as to a type of work to be organized with children.
