Belarus, Slovakia announce joint R&D contest

MINSK, 8 January (BelTA) – The State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus and the Education, Science, Research, and Sport Ministry of Slovakia have started a contest of joint research and development projects for the 2019-2020 period, the committee's press service told BelTA.

The contest covers the following high-priority avenues of Belarus-Slovakia cooperation: power engineering; agribusiness technologies; industrial and construction technologies; healthcare and medical technologies, pharmaceutics; chemical, nano and biotechnologies; new materials; nuclear technologies; water management technologies; environmental protection; food industry; biodiversity protection.

Applications are to contain a business plan prepared in line with the established procedure and written commitments of the customer to put R&D results to practical use. Filled-in forms are to be submitted to the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus in written form (three copies) and digital form (a compact disk) by 7 March 2019.

The contest has been arranged in line with the minutes of the first session of the Belarusian-Slovak commission for cooperation in science and technology, which took place on 25 September 2018.
