MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) - Lithuania's decision to terminate border traffic cooperation with Belarus is an unfriendly and unconstructive step, official representative of the Belarusian State Border Committee Anton Bychkovsky said while commenting on this decision, BelTA has learned.
"This is an unfriendly, unconstructive step on the part of Lithuania, which can negatively affect the rhythmic crossing of the border by persons and vehicles. In fact, it is aimed at not having obligations to the Belarusian side in terms of ensuring the uninterrupted and rhythmic operation of checkpoints," Anton Bychkovsky said.
Thus, cooperation between the border agencies to prevent queues at the border is terminated at the initiative of Lithuania, Anton Bychkovsky noted.
