Belarus, Serbia to advance cooperation in healthcare, IT

MINSK, 9 January (BelTA) – Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus Alexander Shumilin and Ambassador of Serbia to Belarus Veljko Kovacevic discussed prospects of cooperation in R&D and innovations, including in information and communication technologies, healthcare, microelectronics, and robot technology, the committee's press service told BelTA.

The organization of a visit of Serbian Innovation and Technological Development Minister Nenad to Minsk and the signing of an interagency memorandum of cooperation were also discussed.

Belarus-Serbia cooperation is implemented in line with the Belarusian-Serbian intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in science and technology of 6 March 1996. The sides are now busy implementing ten joint R&D projects, which have been approved by the Belarusian-Serbian commission for scientific and technical cooperation.
