Belarus, Serbia mull over joint military-technical projects

MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) - Belarus and Serbia discussed the prospects for implementing joint projects in the military-technical field, Vladimir Lavrenyuk, official representative of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus, told BelTA.

A delegation of Serbia's Defense Ministry was in Belarus Belarus on a visit on 7-9 February. The Serbian delegation was headed by Assistant Secretary of Defense for Material Resources Nenad Miloradovic.

The Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus Oleg Dvigalev met with the head of the Serbian delegation. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Defense Minister for Armament - Chief of Armament of the Armed Forces of Belarus Major General Sergei Simonenko. The parties exchanged the views on the results and prospects for implementing joint projects in the military-technical field.

The representatives of the Defense Ministry and the Military Technical Institute of Serbia held talks with the top managers of the enterprises of the Belarusian defense sector to discuss a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation.
