Belarus, Serbia eager to resume joint combat training

MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Serbia have reaffirmed the intention to resume joint combat training as the epidemiological situation improves. Belarus Chief of the General Staff Aleksandr Volfovich and his Serbian counterpart Milan Mojsilovic discussed this matter over the phone, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry.

Aleksandr Volfovich and Milan Mojsilovic exchanged opinions on the state of affairs in international security. They pointed out similar stances of the two countries on key items on the current agenda. “The parties discussed the bilateral military cooperation and its development prospects. They expressed the countries' readiness to resume joint combat training when the epidemiological situation stabilizes,” the ministry said.

The parties also exchanged information about the COVID-19 response measures taken in the armed forces of Belarus and Serbia.
