Belarus, Russia discussing flight resumption date

MINSK, 21 September (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia are currently discussing a flight resumption date, BelTA learned from the Belarus' Transport and Communications Ministry.

"The aviation auditories, air carriers of Belarus and Russia are now agreeing on flight frequencies and routes to be performed on a parity basis. There is no specific date for the resumption of flights yet," the press service noted.

The Transport and Communications Ministry hopes that the coordination process will be swift and that flights will begin in the near future.

As it has been reported, the Russian government allowed Belarusian citizens to enter the Russian Federation through air checkpoints. The ban on the entry of foreign nationals, including citizens of Belarus, into Russia was introduced in late March over the coronavirus infection.

The ban to enter Russia by road and rail remains in force.
