MINSK, 29 December (BelTA) – Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin had a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
The ministers discussed the current agenda of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation, including joint activities meant to ensure the military security of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, preparations for the joint military drills scheduled for 2021, and events to honor the memory of fallen Soviet soldiers timed to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
“Viktor Khrenin and Sergei Shoigu also wished each other a happy New Year and a merry Christmas,” the ministry added.
