Aleksandr Shumilin stressed that Belarus is in favor of expanding scientific, technical, and innovative cooperation in the Eurasian Economic Union, including by means of setting up Eurasian technological platforms, by implementing union interstate programs and including a chapter on scientific and technical cooperation into the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty. The adoption of an interstate program by the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on producing and providing space and geoinformation products and services on the basis of national sources of remote Earth sensing data may become an example of successful cooperation in this field.
