MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – Children are the most valuable asset for the state, therefore it seeks to make sure that children live a happy life, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said at a back-to-school ceremony at a kindergarten- secondary school in Ushachi District, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.
Vladimir Andreichenko emphasized that the school has everything in place for children to achieve academic, physical and creative excellence. A testimony to that are the successes of its students and teachers. It is for a reason that the school was inscribed on the local wall of honor. The speaker welcomed the focus on the on-the-ground training at the school, which is particularly important for preparing teenagers for an adult life.
Vladimir Andreichenko thanked the teachers for their efficient work, including their efforts to prepare the school for a new term. He called on the students to study hard, because profound knowledge is a key to success in the modern world.
He went on saying that the knowledge of the history of native land and its famous natives will help students better understand our country.
After the back-to-school ceremony, Vladimir Andreichenko inspected the classrooms and the school museum.
A new building of a local school of arts was inaugurated in the run-up to the new term. It was a great gift for parents and children. More than Br3 million was allocated from the budget for the school renovation project. Due to the refurbishment, local students, including students with special needs, and the staff will be able to study and work in comfortable conditions.
Vladimir Andreichenko noted that art plays a special role in the formation of moral values, civil stance and patriotism. Therefore it is important that children take up arts. “It does not matter that not all graduates of the school will pursue a career in arts. The most important thing is that they will grow into decent and creative adults,” he added.
