MINSK, 22 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Pakistan have discussed cooperation prospects in the field of emergency response, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry.
After handing over humanitarian cargo, Belarus' Deputy Emergencies Minister Igor Bolotov met with Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan (NDMA) Inam Haider Malik.
The parties discussed bilateral cooperation prospects in the field of prevention and response to natural and man-made disasters, shared best practices in disaster risk reduction and effective emergency response.
A reminder, Belarus sent a humanitarian cargo to Pakistan as part of the emergency relief. The cargo is estimated at Br920,000 and weighs about 27.5 tonnes.
