Belarus' National Library to host Iran's Book Week

MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) - Iran's Book Week will be launched in the Labirint Gallery in the National Library of Belarus on 18 November, BelTA learned from the public relations department.

Twelve countries, including Belarus, Hungary, Germany, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Poland, Turkey and Uganda have joined this year's book festival. Thematic events will be held throughout the week which will be organized by the cultural offices of the Iranian Embassy, Iranian studies centers and institutions.

The exhibition will present the books on history, politics, geography, cultural heritage and other areas of life of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The event will also feature the busts of the famous writers who have glorified their homeland. During the exhibition a ceremony will be held to donate the books to the National Library of Belarus.

The organizers of the event are the Embassy of Iran and the National Library of Belarus.
