MINSK, 13 December (BelTA) – Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with United Nations Resident Coordinator in Belarus Joanna Kazana-Wisniowieck in Minsk on 13 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties reviewed the cooperation in 2021 between the UN and Belarus in sustainable development, response to the COVID-19 pandemic
The parties also exchanged views on the current humanitarian situation with regards to the refugees and migrants staying in the Bruzgi transport and logistics center on the Belarusian-Polish border.
The parties reaffirmed commitment to coordinating the efforts between the Belarusian authorities, public associations and international organizations of the UN system in providing assistance to refugees and migrants, including humanitarian aid.
Ms Kazana-Wisniowiecki thanked Belarus for providing access to refugees and migrants for international organizations.
