Belarus' Marina Vasilevskaya assigned to fly to ISS as part of prime crew

MOSCOW, 29 May (BelTA) – Flight attendant of the Belarusian national air carrier Belavia Marina Vasilevskaya has been assigned to fly to the International Space Station (ISS) as part of the prime crew, BelTA learned from the Telegram channel of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.

Citing the Cosmonaut Training Center, the diplomatic mission informed that cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky will be the mission commander. NASA astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson will join the crew as a flight engineer.

“Cosmonaut Ivan Vagner, Belarusian pediatric surgeon Anastasia Lenkova and NASA astronaut Donald R. Pettit were assigned as backup crew members,” the post reads.
