Belarus-Latvia border crossing delays expected on 28 February over Latvian border guards exercise

VITEBSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Delays are possible on the Belarusian-Latvian border on 28 February as the border guards of the the neighboring country go on the exercise, spokesman for the Polotsk Border Guard Denis Glebko told BelTA.

According to the Latvian border guards, the delays on the border checkpoint Silene of the Daugavpils border governance of the State Border Guard of Latvia are expected from 13:00 till 15:00 due to the exercise. The checkpoint Urbany (Braslav District in Belarus) will work in a normal mode.

Travelers are advised to go to the nearby border checkpoint Grigorovshchina (the Paternieki checkpoint on the Latvian side) in Verkhnedvinsk District in order to cross the border more comfortably.
