Belarus' Investigative Сommittee joins Our Children charity campaign

MINSK, 24 December (BelTA) – The New Year charity campaign Our Children annually sums up the results of the hard work to support the young Belarusian citizens, Ivan Noskevich, the chairman of the Investigative Committee, told the media as he visited children's city clinical hospital No. 3 in Minsk on 24 December, BelTA learned.

Ivan Noskevich attended the festive performance, wished the children a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and also went to see little intensive care patients. “The Our Children campaign is not a one-off event. It is a wrap-up of the work that is carried out by all government bodies and public organizations to support children”, remarked Ivan Noskevich.

The representatives of the Investigative Committee have been visiting children's hospital No. 3 in anticipation of the New Year for many years. “We meet kids, chat with them, brighten up their day, and give them presents. Nevertheless, the most important thing for any child is their own health and the health of their parents and everyone they love”, emphasized Ivan Noskevich. Amidst the everyday hustle and bustle, the Our Children campaign reminds us of the people who are in need of our support, he added.

The New Year charity campaign Our Children kicked off in Belarus on 9 December and will run through 10 January. The campaign is held under the patronage of Aleksandr Lukashenko. During the campaign, heads of government agencies, including local executive officials, visit orphanages and foster homes, foster and adoptive families who raise children with disabilities, rehabilitation centers and facilities for children with special needs, as well as hospitals. They wish children Happy New Year and Merry Christmas, give them gifts and help resolve their issues. Public associations also take part in the campaign.
