Belarus' information minister meets with Chinese journalists

MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) – Belarus' Information Minister Alexander Karlyukevich met with the representatives of the Chinese mass media to discuss joint projects in Minsk on 2 May, BelTA learned from the Information Ministry.

The Chinese journalists are in Belarus on a press tour from 29 April to 4 May.

Alexander Karlyukevich spoke about the ongoing and planned Belarusian-Chinese projects in the field of mass media and invited the Chinese guests to attend the 22nd international exhibition Mass Media in Belarus due in Minsk on 3-5 May.

The event was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming, representatives of the Information Ministry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Press Center.

The journalists from China went to see the famous attractions in Belarus, visited the Belovezhskaya Pushcha, Brest Fortress and Mir Castle.

On 2 May the Chinese journalists traveled to Soligorsk District, learned about the history and development of the Soligorsk land. After a short city tour the Chinese journalists visited the National Hospital of Speleotherapy. The guests descended into the mine of OAO Belaruskali to see the unique speleotherapy chambers.

The Chinese guests are set to visit the National Art Museum, the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater, and industrial enterprises.
