Belarus' Healthcare Ministry explains 10-day self-isolation rules

INSK, 29 October (BelTA) – Belarus' Healthcare Ministry has clarified the 10-day self-isolation requirement provided in the Council of Ministers' resolution No.591 issued on 13 October 2020, BelTA Ahas learned.

The self-isolation rule applies to people who come from countries on the list of COVID-19 high-risk countries (red zone countries). This list is available on the website of the Healthcare Ministry.

The 10-day self-isolation requirement applies to those who have come from green-zone countries but who have been transiting through the red zone and have no documented proof of staying there for less than 24 hours as transit passengers.

Foreigners and stateless persons, with the exception of permanent residents of Belarus, who come from green-zone countries (i.e., not on the list of COVID-19 high-risk countries), are obliged to have the original or electronic copy of the medical document (in Russian, Belarusian or English) confirming the negative COVID-19 PCR test result, issued within 72 hours before the arrival in Belarus.

The medical document should contain the last name, first name, patronymic (if any) of the citizen and the COVID-19 test result (for example, “SARS-CoV-2 negative” or "result on the date of the test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 - negative").
