
MINSK, 23 December (BelTA) – Another batch of air defense missile systems Tor-M2K has been delivered from Russia to Belarus. Leonid Kasinsky, Aide for Ideology to the Belarusian Defense Minister, Chief of the Central Office for Ideology Work of the Defense Ministry, made the relevant statement on the air of the TV channel STV, BelTA has learned.
The batch of weapons was delivered within the framework of the existing Belarus-Russia intergovernmental agreement on military technology cooperation. These missile systems will be delivered to their designated army units within the next few days. Personnel to operate the systems have already been trained.
Leonid Kasinsky noted that air defense missile systems Tor-M2K represent an effective tool for shooting down various kinds of aerial targets, including high-velocity and low-velocity ones in a sufficiently broad range of altitudes.
