Belarus' first coronavirus-infected shows no symptoms

MINSK, 28 February (BelTA) – The infected student from Iran is not displaying symptoms of the coronavirus, Belarus Healthcare Minister Vladimir Karanik told journalists on 28 February, BelTA has learned.

Belarus reported its first case of the novel coronavirus on 28 February. “The patient is not showing any symptoms of the disease. Nothing is bothering him. He even posted messages about this on social networks and the Telegram channel,” the minister said.

The laboratory tests showed the presence of fragments of an RNA virus. This could indicate that the patient is a carrier of the virus. “In any case this person is under medical supervision, although he does not need treatment now,” Vladimir Karanik added.
