Belarus, Finland discuss ways to step up interregional cooperation

MINSK, 6 January (BelTA) – Belarus and Finland have discussed ways to advance cooperation between regions, including between the Belarusian city of Nesvizh and the Finnish city of Savonlinna, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Finland.

These matters were in focus of a meeting between Ambassador of Belarus to Finland Aleksei Samosuyev and Valeri Zhuk, the head of Karjalan Asiamiestoimisto Consulting Ltd that is based in Savonlinna in the region of South Savo, on 6 January.

“The parties discussed cooperation between the Belarusian and Finnish companies, including ways to expand the trade and economic relations and bilateral ties in logistics, retail trade, and joint industrial ventures. They also confirmed the plans to arrange an exhibition of the National Art Museum of Belarus in Finland after the pandemic,” the embassy said.

On request of the Finnish party, Ambassador Aleksei Samosuyev also commented on the ongoing political processes in Belarus.
