MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) – The period of stay of foreign nationals in Belarus has been extended, BelTA has learned from the Telegram channel of the press secretary of the Internal Affairs Ministry Olga Chemodanova.
"Due to the fact that a number of countries have imposed travel restrictions for foreign nationals, the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Belarusian Internal Affairs Ministry will extend the period of stay of foreign nationals in our country up to 90 days, and if necessary, beyond this period," Olga Chemodanova informed.
A foreign national should apply to the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Belarusian Internal Affairs Ministry at the place of stay (registration) to extend the period. The stay can be extended at Minsk National Airport. This can be done, for example, if a foreign national finds out that his/her flight is canceled upon arrival at the airport.
