Belarus' Defense Ministry announces combat readiness check

MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) – An inspection of combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Belarus started on 3 April upon the instruction of the head of state, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

According to the press service of the Defense Ministry, this will be a complex inspection. It will check the ability of commanders to run subordinate military units and subunits when they are brought to the highest degree of combat readiness. It will also check the readiness of military units to carry out their tasks within an established time frame. The general supervision of the inspection was entrusted to the State Secretariat of the Security Council.

The Defense Ministry press service informed that since the inspection provides for moving army vehicles, temporary restrictions on travels of civilian vehicles along a number of public roads and territories may be enforced.
