Belarus dancers win medals at Global Internet Dance

MINSK, 14 July (BelTA) – The Art Unity dance company of Belarusian State Pedagogical University has become a prize winner of the first edition of the international online dance competition Global Internet Dance. This is a new format of the traditional dance festival Global Dance, BelTA learned from the press service of the university.

Taking part in the contest were over 1,500 dancers from Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Estonia. This year, the participants did not perform live before the jury, but sent a video of their performances. The Art Unity dance company presented three entries - In Difficult Times, In Red and Say My Name. As a result, In Difficult Times clinched the first place in the Dance Show category. The jury praised the dance composition, its visual appeal and technique. In Red was second in the Street Show nomination, while Say My Name landed second in the Flashmob nomination.

“The head of the dance company, Kristina Garon-Mosesova, received a letter of commendation from the organizers of the festival for the successful performance of the team and personal contribution to the promotion of choreographic art,” the press service noted.

The project was arranged by the Vint Club dance school and the Dance Movement youth public association (Belarus).
