Belarus' Council of Ministers okays international technical aid projects

MINSK, 10 August (BelTA) – The Council of Ministers has approved international technical aid projects in the spheres of utilities industry and border cooperation. The decision is laid down by Council of Ministers' resolution No.584 of 9 August 2018, BelTA has learned.

The Grodno Oblast administration will be in charge of overseeing the implementation of the international technical aid project, as part of which Lithuania's Trakai District and Belarus' Lida District will work together to manage natural resources and protect the environment. The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will oversee the project “Biomass energy – converting natural potential into regional cooperation”.

The Gomel Oblast administration will oversee the project for invigorating small and medium business in bordering areas of Ukraine and Belarus. The Housing and Utilities Ministry will coordinate the project involving wastewater in the city of Lida.

The resolution comes into force as of the publication date.
