Belarus, China to discuss academic exchange programs

MINSK, 22 August (BelTA) – Academic and youth exchange programs between Belarus and China will be discussed at a session of the commission for academic cooperation in Beijing on 22-23 August, BelTA learned from the press center of the Education Ministry.

A Belarusian delegation led by Education Minister Igor Karpenko has left for China to take part in the session. “The parties will discuss the state and prospects of Belarus-China cooperation in education, academic and youth exchange programs, cooperation between higher learning institutions, a possibility to set up joint educational centers and to step up cooperation in university science,” the press center informed.

Igor Karpenko is also expected to meet with China Education Minister Chen Baosheng and heads of Chinese higher learning institutions with a view to determining promising areas of cooperation.
