Belarus-China research, education center opens in Minsk

MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) – On 15 March, Minsk hosted an official opening ceremony of a joint advanced technologies research and education center of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) and East China Computer Technology Research Institute (CETC 32), BelTA has learned from the press service of BSUIR.

“This center is another step in developing the partnership between BSUIR and CETC 32,” BSUIR Rector Vadim Bogush noted as he attended the opening ceremony. “The center will help us boost international contacts, strengthen international cooperation between scientists in finding breakthrough solutions in high technologies, train qualified specialists, and create competitive innovative products in radioelectronics, infocommunications, artificial intelligence, and information technologies,” he added.

The center was established with the support of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC), which is the largest Chinese corporation in defense, security, and information electronics. The center is based at the BSUIR design institute of prospective radioelectronic systems of centimeter and millimeter wavelength ranges.
