Belarus attends WHO Regional Committee for Europe session

MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) - The official delegation of Belarus' Healthcare Ministry headed by minister Valery Malashko is participating in the 68th session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe in Rome, Italy, BelTA learned from the press service of the ministry.

The event is attended by WHO Regional Director for Europe Zsuzsanna Jakab, healthcare ministers, high-level representatives of 53 countries in the WHO European Region, partner organizations and civil society.

The participants are set to discuss the healthcare service in Europe in 2018, the roadmap for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development based on Health 2020, the European policy for health and well-being. The parties will pay particular attention to the way of improving public healthcare in the WHO European Region for sustainable development.

Belarusian Healthcare Minister Valery Malashko is expected to make several reports.
