NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Armenia Aleksandr Konyuk met with a delegation of the Minsk Research Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology headed by Director Oleg Rummo, BelTA learned from the Belarusian foreign mission in Yerevan.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arabkir Institute of Health and Adolescent Health Ara Babloyan. The parties discussed further cooperation between Belarus and Armenia in the field of medicine, in particular, surgery and transplantology and exchange of internships in various types of high-tech medical care.
From 30 January to 3 February, Oleg Rummo and a group of Belarusian doctors performed transplant operations at the Arabkir Institute of Child and Adolescent Health.
The Minsk Research Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology and the Armenian institute have been successfully cooperating for several years. The first liver transplantation in a child in Armenia was performed by specialists of the Belarusian center in October 2019.
