NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 2 May (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan Andrei Ravkov took part in the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs' campaign “Green Future” dedicated to the 100th birthday of Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.
Some 500 pine and olive trees were planted in Mushfigabad settlement (Baku suburb). Taking part in the event were Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov and heads of foreign diplomatic missions.
Heydar Aliyev led Azerbaijan during two completely different periods - during the former Soviet Union (1969-1982) and ten years after the restoration of the country's independence (1993-2003).
