MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – Agreements on social (pension) provision between Belarus and the Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland are undergoing the ratification procedure, Natalia Murashkevich, the head of the pension provision directorate at the Labor and Social Security Ministry of Belarus, said during an online press conference at the websites of BelTA and the ministry.

Belarus has signed the agreements based on the proportional principle (the state pays a pension for the term of employment in its territory) with Russia, Latvia, Lithuania and Azerbaijan.

“The agreements on social (pension) provision signed with the Czech Republic, Estonia and Poland in 2018-2019 are based on the same principle. They will come into force as soon as the ratification procedures are completed in the states,” Natalia Murashkevich said.

In addition, Belarus is carrying out the domestic procedures necessary for signing the agreement on pension security with the Eurasian Economic Union. “The date of signing will depend on the completion of these procedures in all countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. In accordance with the document, the pension will be paid by each state for the period of employment acquired in this state,” Natalia Murashkevich noted.
