MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) - The Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of Belarus President hopes to host leading foreign scholars and statesmen for guest lectures in the future, rector of the academy Gennady Palchik said in an interview with the Belarus 1 TV channel on 20 October, BelTA has learned.
According to Gennady Palchik, the Academy of Public Administration hopes that it will be able to host leading foreign scholars, statesmen for guest lectures. It is important that Belarusian government officials and statesmen directly participate in the educational process, the rector belives.
“We are already building the modules of foreign universities into our educational process, in compliance with the Bologna process requirements," he added.
On 18 October, the head of state Aleksandr Lukashenko visited the Academy of Public Administration. He met with undergraduate and postgraduate students, the teaching staff and other employees of the academy. Gennady Palchik noted the constructive and friendly atmosphere of this meeting. It discussed a wide range of topics: from the tasks that the president set before the university, to internal and foreign policy issues. The participants of the meeting also did not miss the opportunity to ask the head of state some personal questions.
