Austria donates equipment to Brest State Technical University for new lab

BREST, 12 February (BelTA) – Brest State Technical University has opened a new laboratory named HERZ Heating Laboratory, BelTA learned from Alexander Omelianyuk, the university's first deputy rector.

The laboratory will be run by the Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation Department. The equipment for the laboratory was transferred free of charge by Austria's HERZ Armaturen GmbH. The laboratory includes a large stand featuring various elements and versions of modern water heating systems and their functioning modes that are in operation in Belarus and abroad.

“The laboratory is meant, first of all, for students majoring in heat and gas supply, ventilation and air pollution control, as well as students majoring in construction. They will conduct experiments here. The university runs four up-to-date laboratories in these disciplines. However, technology is constantly evolving. HERZ Armaturen GmbH is well known in Europe. This company is one of the world's leading producers of equipment for heating, air conditioning, ventilation, gas supply and water supply. Therefore, we are very interested in maintaining cooperation with such a partner,” Alexander Omelianyuk said.

Apart from the equipment, the company provided textbooks, catalogues, reference books and other learning material written by world-famous professors and published in Vienna.
