
MINSK, 24 January (BelTA) – Constitutional reform is a priority area of MPs' work, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said at a meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives, BelTA has learned.

“The priority area of our work is constitutional reform. It is necessary to complete the legislative work related to the adoption of the updated Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. By now, we have introduced the necessary amendments into 28 out of 90 laws as part of the action plan to bring laws into line with amendments and additions to the Constitution,” Vladimir Andreichenko said.
According to him, 16 bills amending 26 laws passed the first reading. “Three more bills have been prepared for the first reading at tomorrow's meeting of the House of Representatives,” the speaker noted. “The main task of all commissions is to complete the work related to the adoption of the updated Constitution in the near future,” Vladimir Andreichenko said.
