
MINSK, 2 May (BelTA) - All citizens of Belarus have been evacuated from Sudan, BelTA learned from the official Twitter account of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, BelTA has learned.
“All ten citizens of Belarus, including pilots, who were in Sudan, have left Khartoum for Moscow by evacuation flight and have already crossed the border of Sudan,” the ministry said.
The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that this was the result of joint work with Russian colleagues, and thanked them.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that Belarus was watching the situation in Sudan with extreme concern. The ministry urged the parties to the conflict to show restraint, to protect civilians and diplomatic missions in Khartoum, and to make it possible to evacuate foreign nationals in Sudan.
