MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – As part of the ongoing air force exercise of the armed forces of Belarus and Russia aerial units have completed a number of combat deployment tasks, the Defense Ministry told BelTA.
All the crews followed a preplanned scenario. Belarusian Su-30SM aircraft covered a strike force of Russian Su-34 bombers, which destroyed designated targets. Later on ground-attack aircraft delivered strikes against air defenses and command posts of the simulated enemy.
Mi-24 helicopters delivered strikes against defensive positions of the simulated enemy. Meanwhile, a Mi-8MTV-5 helicopter flew on a search and rescue mission.
