About 200 companies to take part in Spring in Gomel expo

GOMEL, 23 May (BelTA) – About 200 enterprises, firms and companies will participate in the 19th edition of the Spring in Gomel International Expo that will be held on 24-27 May, BelTA learnt from the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).

The exposition will be showcased at the Track-and-Field Athletics Center. The concept of the expo is All the Riches of the Native Land. “The exposition will be made up of about 200 booths of Belarusian, Moldovan, Italian, and Vietnamese companies. The expo will be attended by 39 delegations from 22 countries, including representatives of 18 embassies, 11 foreign chambers of commerce and industry and participants of the Gomel Economic Forum that will take place on 25 May,” the BCCI's Gomel branch informed.

The exposition area will be structured into several thematic sectors: food industry and consumer goods, manufacturing industry and construction, tourism and recreation, museums, health resorts, healthcare facilities, and others. The program also includes business match-making sessions, a presentation of the BCCI's business school, trainings, seminars and roundtable sessions.

Apart from that, the city will also host the 5th edition of the Gomel Spring arts and crafts festival. Over 130 artisans from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine will line up along Kozhara Street to showcase their products. The program of the festival has a lot of interesting activities on offer, like master classes in arts and crafts, a gastro festival, concerts and open-air shows, a karaoke contest.

The Gomel branch of the BCCI noted that the exposition area will exceed 5,000 square meters.

The 19th edition of the Spring in Gomel International Expo is arranged by the Gomel branch of the BCCI under the auspices of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee and the Gomel City Executive Committee.
