MINSK, 15 May (BelTA) – The 1,000th liver transplant surgery took place at the Minsk Center of Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology, BelTA informs citing the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.
The surgery was done on 13 May and lasted several hours - from 7:00 to 14:30.
The operation went as usual. The patient's condition is said to be satisfactory.
The Healthcare Ministry named the composition of the medical team who took part in the surgery. The team included Oleg Rummo, Aleksei Shcherba, Sergei Krotkov, Ivan Shturich, Aleksandr Leshkevich (surgeons), Aleksandr Dzyadzko and Natalya Medvedskaya (anesthesiologists), as well as Tamara Petruchenya, Yelena Shostak, Natalya Selivanova, and Maria Rudyak (nurse anesthesiologists).
