The harvest season for birch sap in Belarus started several weeks earlier than usual this year. Forestry enterprises of southern regions started collecting birch sap in late February, and by now the work is in full swing throughout the whole country. The reason for this is the abnormally warm weather that influenced the sap flow period. BelTA journalists visited the Starobin forestry enterprise in the south of Minsk Oblast to find out about the process of harvesting birch sap.
