Participants of the Christmas tournament have helped Belarus obtain the right to host the 2021 ice hockey world championship. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the statement during the ceremony held on 4 January to open the 14th international Christmas amateur ice hockey tournament and the national children and youth ice hockey tournament Golden Puck.
