MINSK, 13 March (BelTA) – The World Athletics Indoor Championships have been postponed because of the coronavirus and will take place in March 2021, BelTA learned from the website of the World Athletics.
The tournament was due in March 2020 in China's Nanjing, but it was postponed until next year due to the coronavirus epidemic. The championships are now scheduled for 19-21 March 2021.
The World Athletics has held the World Athletics Indoor Championships since 1985. Starting from 1987, the event has taken place over the course of three days in March. Team Belarus won four golds, eleven silvers, and six bronzes at the championships.
