MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) - The Tokyo organizing committee officially unveiled the designs of the tickets for the Olympic Games, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.

The designs are based on the traditional Japanese colors: red, blue, purple (the color of the Japanese wisteria) and green. This color scheme, according to the designers, reflects the overlapping natural colors representative of each of Japan's four seasons. The color coding varies depending on the venue of the competition. The tickets also feature sport pictograms.

Some of the tickets for the upcoming Olympic Games have already been sold. Local fans can get tickets through a special lottery. The official sale will be launched in the spring. The cheapest tickets cost $22, the most expensive ones (the opening and closing ceremonies) - up to $2,680. The average price is $72.

Tokyo will host the 32rd Summer Olympics on 24 July-9 August 2020.
