Sivert Guttorm Bakken of Norway wins IBU Cup mass start in Raubichi

MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) - Sivert Guttorm Bakken of Norway won the Men 15km Mass Start 60 at IBU Cup 8 in Raubichi, finishing in 38:26.8, BelTA has learned.

Lars Helge Birkeland of Norway came in second, 20.5 seconds back. Russia's Vasilii Tomshin was third, 34.1 seconds behind the winner.

The Belarusian athletes finished as follows: Maksim Varabei 15th, Viktar Kryuko 17th, and Yahor Kazarynau 51st.

Adelina Sabitava of Belarus placed 36th in the Women 12km Mass Start 60. Stefanie Scherer of Germany won the women's race.

Competing at the final IBU Cup 8 in Raubichi were 151 athletes from 31 countries.

On 4 March, Maksim Varabei of Belarus finished second in the Men 10km Sprint at IBU Cup 8 in Raubichi.
