The winner of the match will take on Jasmine Paolini of Italy (No. 95).
In the qualifying round Aliaksandra Sasnovich beat Anastasiya Komardina of Russia (No. 201), Tereza Martincova of Czechia (No. 133) and Lara Arruabarrena Vecino of Spain (No. 154).
Palermo Ladies Open will wrap up on 9 August. It is the first official tennis tournament after the break caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
