MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – Russian athletes have won eight awards at the artistic gymnastics tournament during the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019, BelTA has learned.
The greatest accomplishments were secured by Russia's David Belyavskiy during Men's All-Around and Men's Pommel Horse events and by Angelina Melnikova during Women's All-Around and Women's Uneven Bars. The Russian team also won three silver medals and one bronze medal.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin watched the competitions in Minsk Arena. He is also expected to attend the closing ceremony of the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 later today.
Belarusian gymnasts won two bronze medals.
