MINSK, 21 November (BelTA) – Over 40 scouts from the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) will attend the 2019 IIHF U20 Ice Hockey World Championship Division I in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation.
Minsk will welcome scouts of New Jersey, Tampa Bay, Nashville, San Jose, Chicago, Pittsburg, Washington and other NHL clubs. The 2019 IIHF U20 World Championship (Division I, Group A) is a real opportunity for athletes to show their best in front of representatives of top clubs. Such opportunities for the participants of the tournament open up great prospects for their further career.
The tournament will be held at Chizhovka Arena on 9-15 December. Belarus will face Austria, Slovenia, Norway, Denmark and Latvia for the spot in the elite division.
